catch up (not ketchup)

Sorry I haven't blogged in FOREVER. We've been busy little bees!!! Here's a little catch up post for you :) (not ketchup - ellie beans hates ketchup!)

Beanies and I traveled to Washington a couple weeks ago for her cousin Elana's second birthday.

Then we headed on to St. Louis from there to Emma's second birthday :)

Lu's sweet Gymbo boots FINALLY fit.

We got over that sickness a couple weeks ago - then she got sick again along with her Momma. We were both so puny! I was supposed to go to the Indiana Pacers vs LA Clippers with Lu's Daddy and Uncle Jesse, but duty called and I had to stay home with my sick girl. You know she's sick if she falls asleep in her high chair!

Lulu's Papa took my place. The boys had fun visiting the Reams' and LOVED sitting 15 rows behind the Clippers!

Meanwhile, Lulu finally started to feel better.

But only AFTER we went to the doctor and got some drugs!

She's finally healthy (knock on wood) and enjoying this Spring weather!

She's so graceful - just like her Momma. ;)

We enjoyed March Madness for awhile . . . until Mizzou tanked and everyone's brackets were trashed :(

We're finally pulling out some CUTE Spring clothes :)

this skirt just melts my <3

Lulu is still into everything. Loves sneaking into showers!

We moved into a new place. We love it. We're having fun decorating :)

Lulu's favorite thing is getting into the dishwasher. She always tries to help me!
We got some pretty new Fiestaware for our place!

Lu's new closet is preciously packed. This was before I got everything in there. There isn't even room for a tank top now!

We're absolutely loving living in town. Lots of walks and trips to the park :)

She had to get up early this week - wasn't a fan.

....but she was a fan of this hat for about 2 minutes. I wish she would keep stuff on her head :( maybe one day!

dress shoppin.

Ellie and I recently had the honor of giving our opinions on prom dresses to Taylor Paige. We went down to Lebanon on a Saturday and spent the day with Taylor and her Momma, watching her try on gorgeous dresses! Ellie had a great time and Taylor found her perfect dress.

she was drawn to the green for some reason. ellie, that is, not so much Taylor! ;)

snoozin' on the commute...

it took her like .2 seconds to find the mirrors. she loves giving herself kisses.
excuse her comb over. the kid is rocking some crazy hair lately.

we found out that Taylor is AMAZING at those claw machine games. She won two prizes for Ellie without any struggle at all. It is decided that one day, she will be a crane operator.

It was SUCH a good day, but it made me feel so old!! I remember when Taylor was Ellie's size! It just puts things into perspective for me. Ellie will be prom dress shopping for her first prom before I know it. Time flies by way too fast.

my little sickling.

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before, Ellie Beans woke up looking like this......

pooooooor baby
it took me twenty minutes just to get her eyes to open. she didn't want anyone but her Momma, and she was extremely clingy.

we went to the doctor and waited for oh, let's just say more than a couple hours. :( urgent care was apparently the place to be that Sunday morning because the waiting room was bumpin'.

we were there so long, that Ellie ran out of her apple juice and had to drink some diluted grape juice. She wasn't crazy about it.

The only good thing was how much she loved to cuddle with me...

luckily, the doctor gave her some antibiotic and she was already feeling better by that night. she was back to playing and exploring in no time. . . . and was really trying to figure this chair out.

Having a sick kiddo is the worst, and this winter has been so rough on us. SOOO ready for summer around here!

pool party.

A couple weeks ago, Ellie went to her first indoor pool party for her cousin Lydia's fourth birthday. I took some pretty cute pics with my phone, but am kicking myself for not taking any of Ellie with the birthday girl!

I was glad Lydia wanted a pool party in February. I don't think this suit would have fit this summer! I'm happy she got to wear it - it's definitely one of my favorites!
LuLu seemed to like the birthday hats!

She was perfectly content with just watching the other kiddos play!

Ellie was so excited about the water when she saw it at first . . . it was like a giant bath tub to her! ( I just know that's what she was thinking. ) We took it slow and had her sit on the steps at first . . .

She really wasn't sure about it.

Uncle Jesse got in with her. This picture does not do her little attitude justice. She threw a HUGE fit about 2 seconds after I snapped it. She wanted OUT.

Grace is so good with Ellie. It's weird because I remember Grace being a little thing like Lu is now. She kept following Grace around, wanting to give her kisses. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen!
